Dignity, Community and Power Awards Gala 2022
Hello!
We are Jessi Arrington and Creighton Mershon, a graphic design duo that have been working together for over 20 years under the studio name WORKSHOP. We have partnered with a broad range of clients, many of them non-profits, in both the traditional and experiential design spaces.
We are mission-driven, and our aim as designers is to lend our skills to organizations that are furthering the causes of equity and social justice, which we hold dear. Our time and energy are finite, and our skill set of visual communication is specific. Thusly we have realized that in order to make a positive impact, we have to prioritize partnering with those who share our vision of a progressive and inclusive world. Using our conceptual and practical skills as designers to support and promote Make the Road New York as it continues to build safety, dignity, and power within immigrant and working class communities would be an opportunity that we would treat with great respect. We have not personally lived the immigrant experience, so we would need to do a lot of listening and internalizing to center the people at the heart of MRNY. We are up for that challenge and hope we could form a successful team.

Process and Pricing
Project Overview
MRNY wishes to create a bold thematic composition that celebrates its vibrant community and tireless leadership. The foundational piece will be applied to a range of supporting materials outlined below.

Process and Pricing
WORKSHOP will conceptualize, design, and oversee the production of MRNY’s 2022 Gala materials. WORKSHOP will work closely with the project stakeholders, gaining agreement on ideas and deliverables before proceeding from one phase to the next.
WORKSHOP will partner with MRNY to keep the project on schedule and on budget. WORKSHOP will help guide the process and deliverables in a manner that maximizes success while not exceeding MRNY’s budget ceiling of $10,000*.
Below is a rough breakdown of how much time and cost will be associated with each deliverable. The numbers are fungible, some areas will take more time, some will take less.
