To fulfill their vision for an updated NYC BigApps, the premier civic innovation competition in NYC, Civic Hall Labs brought us onboard to produce the launch event, seven design-thinking and ideation workshops, and the finalist expo and pitch night. Each event was designed in a way to encourage participation, whether as competitors, mentors, or sponsors, and highlight the amazing skills and accomplishments of the community. Using custom imagery, personalized badges, locally-sourced food, and other unique touches, we developed a welcoming an inclusive environment that ensured all participants that even within a competition everyone could still be a winner.
