Drawing inspiration from the TEDGlobal Conference 2009 theme, “The Substance of Things Not Seen,” WORKSHOP's design for the event's gift guide reveals information as the viewer unfolds the piece. A line about the environmental sustainability of the paper is "hidden" within the diagonal lines, like an eco-Where's Waldo.
TEDLab
As a part of TED2009 in Long Beach, TEDLab provides TEDsters with the opportunity to exchange ideas with sponsor companies as they share their latest advancements; hence, a custom illustration based on the concept of breakthroughs fueled by one-on-one communication.
TED.com Media Kit
Initially designed as a PDF, and later turned into a printable format, this is TED.com "at a glance."
We loved forming the giant talk bubble out of the most frequently used words in TEDTalks.
TED2009 Attendee Book
This first-ever comprehensive TED Attendee Book contains the name, pertinent info and three “talk to me” points for each of the conference’s 1,600 attendees. Books were designed and mailed in advance to promote connections among TEDsters during the event.
TEDGifts
TED is legendary for its gift bags. We designed the pages of 2009's TEDGifts with perforation so gift descriptions could be torn out and used as conversation starters, or currency, or accompany as tags if TEDsters choose to pass gifts along to others in their lives.
