Henri-Georges Doll Biography
One of the most prolific inventors of the 20th century, Doll (1902–1991) pioneered using electrical current to "see underground." His contributions to geophysics, military and medical research are still impacting our world. Sorting through vintage photographs and his notebooks full of scientific formulas and sketches to find suitable imagery for the book was certainly a highlight of this project. We also enjoyed collaborating directly with the author, Michael Oristaglio.
A Sixth Sense: The Life and Times of Henri-Georges Doll
We designed this 324-page biography, complete with dust jacket, maps as end papers and 80 plus in-line images, under the creative direction of Milton Glaser. Originally printed for private distribution in 2007, we reset a revised text and created new figures prior to mass publication by Overlook Press in 2008. So that means it will be in book stores this year.
